Abstract
Conjugating monoclonal antibodies to the surface of drug-loaded nanoparticles combines the high target specificity of antibody-antigen recognition with the favorable pharmacokinetic and payload-carrying properties of nanoscale drug carriers, offering a route to concentrate cytotoxic chemotherapeutics at tumor sites while sparing healthy tissue from systemic exposure.
