Abstract
The development of creative competencies in preschool children is an important task of modern early childhood education. Preschool age is a crucial period for developing imagination, curiosity, communication, and independent thinking. This article analyzes theoretical and methodological approaches to creativity development based on research on play-based learning, STEAM education, project-based learning, and child-centered pedagogy. Creative competence is considered as a combination of imagination, originality, flexibility, problem-solving, communication, and the ability to create new ideas. The study identifies key methodological components, including a supportive creative environment, imaginative play, problem-based activities, STEAM integration, and teacher guidance. The results emphasize that child-centered, culturally responsive, and age-appropriate approaches provide effective conditions for developing preschool children's creative competencies.
